Hugh McInnish

This website is the innovation of Hugh McInnish and his associates. It was originally started, as the name surely implies, to campaign against Paul Hubbert and his atrocious labor union, the Alabama Teachers Association. We were motivated by the belief that we cannot have a politically-healthy state until the inordinate power of Hubbert is curbed.

This was before the advent of the Hubbert-Riley Tax Plan. As Clausawitz once said, no plan of battle ever survives the first contact with the enemy, and he has proven to be correct in the case of our plan. No sooner had we launched our website aimed at Hubbert than the Hubbert-Riley Plan was announced, and we had to realign the axis of our attack.

Of course the realignment is not as wide as it might appear. The tax plan now before us is largely a product of the schemes of Paul Hubbert, and would likely not exist but for him. Nor would it exist except for his uniquely powerful AEA. So the tax plan and the AEA are outcroppings of the same underlying problem, namely, the avaricious Paul Hubbert and his minions, in and out, of the AEA.

For now we fighting to defeat the Hubbert-Riley Tax Plan, the largest tax increase in the history of our state. Regardless of the outcome of this battle, however, we will be here after September 9 to continue the campaign.
